It all started differently than you would expect...
James Anderson, RPh moved to Saint Louis, Missouri to attend St. Louis College of Pharmacy. After graduation, he opened his first retail pharmacy in October 1986. After a few years, Jim owned and operated three local pharmacies while at the same time started to service long term care facilities. In 2000, Jim made the decision to focus solely on long term care pharmacy after noticing an under-serviced area in the pharmacy market. Not soon after, Long Term Care Rx grew into the company it is today embracing technology, customer care, and services as important pieces to the ever-changing pharmacy world. With 30 years experience, we, at Long Term care Rx, understand the uniqueness of each patient and facility. In this time, we have adapted to the ever-changing world of long term care, whether with new state and federal mandates or with technology allowing for quicker and safer medication dispensing. Long Term Care Rx focuses on key areas to help foster census retention for the facility as well as quality of care for the residents by implementing programs such as our Hospital Readmission Reduction program, Medication Reconciliation, Transitions of Care, and many more.
